All images based directly on a real photos using a combination of generative image models (AI) and traditional retouching. Not a proposal or campaign, just an exploration of what today's creative tools make possible, and how they might change the conversations we have about the future of buildings and places. 

The UK spa industry is worth an estimated £3-4 billion annually and continues to benefit from the wider wellness trend. Despite growing demand, large parts of the UK remain relatively underserved by spa facilities, with low density and limited competition across many regional markets. 

Coventry Baths is a Grade II Listed leisure centre designed and built at the height of Coventry's fame as an architectural trailblazer in the 1960s. Its winged roof is suspended above an immense glazed elevation, opening out onto sunbathing terraces and gardens. It houses several pools, restaurant space and a basement that once contained slipper baths and saunas. It retains its now in vogue mid century details, with anodised aluminium, glazed tiles and teak accenting its simple lines. 

Once described as the best swimming pool in Europe, today the site lies desolate, the pools drained and the building due for demolition. The council had made the difficult decision to invest in new city centre leisure facilities at 'The Wave' and hope to offload the aging and costly Cov Baths. In June 2026, listed building consent was given for demolition due to lack of investment interest and the associated costs.
